Bluhm Systeme will demonstrate the high performance printing platform Markoprint X4, which is being presented to the global public for the first time at Interpack. This compact and extraordinarily fast control unit is able to control first of all two thermal print technologies, and secondly also another piezoelectrial dye print technology. This is the first time that a system unit has been available for all coding tasks for primary and also secondary packaging. Markoprint X4 supports applications from simple LOS marking through to complex printing and verification tasks in the pharmaceutical sector. Text heights of less than 1 mm up to 400 mm and a print resolution of up to 600 dpi can be realized. The new thermal printing technology offers high speed at a resolution of 300 dpi and, in addition to other advantages, also makes it possible to print from a distance of up 6 mm from the product surface. That means that the printing head is of particular interest in cases where the aim is still to achieve optimal printing quality even in cases where the tolerances for the packaging, feeding, and facilities technology add up and at high speeds.

The Legi-Air Twin provides a fully automated solution for the new marking tasks in the chemical and mineral oil industries: in addition to the danger warning "H" and the safety warning "P", the two-colour warning symbols can be printed as necessary on blank labels or on labels that have been partially pre-printed with set information in the necessary quantities and dimensions. Product descriptions, quantity information, logos, barcodes (1 or 2 dimensional) are already system standards within Bluhm's label technology. The system is equipped with two printed modules and with a special belt applicator, which automatically adjusts to the size of the packaging, which varies in height and diameter during facet labelling. This enables precisely and centrally-positioned labelling, for example, outside of the beading. In addition, Bluhm offers a hand-based labelling solution, which makes it possible to create neutral and pre-printed labels with the two-colour warning symbols in the workplace.

The new Spine Tag RFID print applicator is a reliable marking solution for particularly narrow and flat components or tongue and groove parts, or with milling, which may still be identifiable even years after installation or processing. For example, the system can be used in the manufacturing of windows and doors, in the construction and furniture industry, as well as in vehicle and plane construction, or in the electronic industry.

The new Alpha-Laser, which consists of a latest-generation Alpha label applicator and a Solaris CO2 laser prints pre-printed labels horizontally and vertically to the direction of movement with additional information directly before dispensing. This is the reason why many previous users of standard printing techniques have switched their marking processes to laser printing. In particular in cases where batches are being processed, Solaris from Bluhm performs marking in a reliable and economic manner. In comparison with traditional printing techniques, the laser source remains almost free of wear and tear. This means that laser technology offers a considerably longer useful life and guarantees a significantly higher level of availability, and in addition, dealing with inks, solvents, or coloured ribbons becomes a thing of the past. The laser prints in black on laser-activated labels with a special layer of coating, which is only activated by the laser's wavelength. The appearance is free of wisps and scratches. The Alpha Label Applicator can also be combined with other Bluhm Weber printing technologies.

A significant feature of the new system is simplified operation. A pivoting touch panel can be used to set and select parameters. The control is performed centrally, so that it is possible to switch to other products almost at the touch of a button. Everything is adjusted automatically. In addition, the new labelling devices are particularly service-friendly. With a robust stainless steel substructure with IP 54 protection and a stainless steel control cabinet with integrated control, the label applicator also works in a sound and reliable manner even in rough production environments.

The Alpha Compact is being presented with a new design and with even better performance, higher processing speeds, and even simpler operation than its tried and tested predecessors. As before, pre-printed labels can be positioned quickly and accurately on products and packaging in connection with various application units. With newly integrated controls, the Alpha Compact is now particularly space saving and can be operated in an optimal manner.

Both the entry and setting of various labelling parameters, as well as functions, such as start and stop, label feed, speed regulation, as well as the calibration of sensors can now be set in connection with a standard computer and the USB interface in Alpha Compact. The securing of data and information and convenient transfer of dispensing parameters to other Alpha Compact systems has now been made really easy. This means that the switching over of labelling orders in connection with device control can be made automatic. An unsupported connection to existing device controls is also anticipated and possible. Parameters and tasks set can be called up in the extensive internal database, and can also be changed and used for different labelling tasks. A second control in miniature format enables 1:1 labelling and reflects the entry unit of the well-known Alpha series (2 rotating and 4 push buttons), which has proven its ability a thousand times over.

The new Alpha Quadro label applicator opens up completely new opportunities in the area of product and packaging labelling. The special thing about this system is: various different label rolls can be processed at the same time. Up to four different labels can be provided and automatically affixed in a sequence and combination that can be freely determined to products that are moving past, from square to round items.

If the software and the Linx ink steel printers from Bluhm systems are used for example in combination with the new Baumer Vision Sensor XF200, correct, excellently legible printing on products and packaging is guaranteed. The camera inspection system checks not only the presence and completeness of the marking, but also the positioning. The sensors are also capable of recognizing the position of contours of a product. If the sensor determines that there is a deviation from the target status, a utilizable signal is emitted. The product can then be marked or withdrawn. Vision Sensor is also compatible with all other Bluhm systems: with laser, thermal and piezoelectrical inkjet encoders, as well as label and print dispensing technology.
